Summer Silos

Piece description from the artist

I was excited to capture this photograph of a quiet, expansive moment in the heart of the American West. Set against a deep, gradient sky that transitions from a rich teal to a soft haze, a row of corrugated metal grain bins stands as a sentinel over a sun-drenched field. I love this time of year for the golden textures of late-summer prairie grass. A scattered flock of birds in flight adds a sense of movement and fleeting life to the stillness of the rural landscape. With its moody lighting and weathered industrial subject matter, the image evokes a feeling of nostalgic Americana and the vast, open solitude of the plains.
