“Striated Fractures” explores the quiet drama of geological formations, where time etches its story into layers of stone. Soft beiges, off-whites, and earthy browns swirl together in fluid motion, interrupted by stark black fractures that suggest deep tectonic shifts. The natural elegance of the piece lies in its balance between movement and stillness—between erosion and formation. It's a visual meditation on the raw beauty of the earth’s surface and the hidden tension beneath.
Denise is an artist from Arvada, Colorado. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
