Picturesque city of Strasbourg in Alsace, France. Skyline with Ponts Couverts – Covered Bridges and medieval towers at River Ill. Part of the historic Petite France quarter, these fortified bridges were opened in 1250 and originally covered with a wooden roof that was removed in 1784, but the name "Covered Bridges" remained.
