Stormy Clouds Over Colorado Springs

This photograph captures a summer rainstorm moving over Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA, as seen from Red Rock Canyon Open Space. In the distance, the iconic red rock formations of Garden of the Gods stand out beneath dramatic skies. The blue sky fades to a golden-yellow glow near the horizon, where the evening sunlight filters through the rain clouds, casting a warm, ethereal light across the landscape. Nestled between Manitou Springs and Colorado Springs, Red Rock Canyon shares the same striking geology as Garden of the Gods but offers a quieter, more rugged charm shaped around an old rock quarry.
