I captured this shot somewhat unknowingly as I found myself on Long Sands Beach in York, ME. A massive storm had just rolled through and while the surfers had made their way to take advantage of the surf, it was actually the landscape itself I was after. It wasn't until I was going through my photos, that I saw the incredible perspective and geometry this photograph captures. To date, it's one of my favorite.
Gregorio was born and raised in Rome, Italy, and its from there that he attributes a lot of his passion for geometrical- and architectural-based photography. From humble beginnings with nothing more than a pin-hole camera made from a cardboard box, Gregorio has continued to push the boundaries of his black and white photography. His most recent works have centered around trains and nautical work, both of which were shown in galleries on Newbury Street in Boston, MA.
