Piece description from the artist
I have been working with acrylic on paper roughing out compositions. I then combine some digital paint to the piece and really like the process. I like texture in my work but with digital I can get softer layers and pastels that help the painting acquire more depth and visual interest.
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
