The Swiss abstract painter Paul Klee made a lasting impression on me with his interesting compositions. Throughout my career I have always been fascinated by geometric forms and experimenting with them or should I say playing with them as one would with blocks as a child.
Don’s work is a crossover between pure abstraction and references to the natural world. Color and texture are key elements in his work. His effort is to play with chaos and create balance through layers of transparent color and hue.
