Piece description from the artist
I captured this landscape view of Devils Tower behind some evergreen trees with a partly cloudy blue sky above. The massive rock formation dominates the scene with its cool vertical columns.
Standing there, I was amazed by the natural textures and shapes. Located in Devils Tower National Monument, this incredible landmark stands about 867 feet above its base and is recognized as the first national monument in the United States, designated in 1906.
The tower is also considered a sacred place by many Native American tribes and remains one of the most iconic natural landmarks in the American West. Its unforgettable shape has even appeared in films such as "Close Encounters of the Third Kind," making it a destination that continues to inspire visitors from around the world.
