This painting was created using a straight pour and swipe technique where painting was applied to the canvas and then swiped with a plastic spatula. Afterward, silicone oil was sprinkled on top of the wet painting to create the wonderful gold, black, and other colored cells. The title originates from the light purple areas in the painting having an ethereal quality of dancing sprites.
Denise is an artist from Arvada, Colorado. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
