Piece description from the artist
Clear spring water cuts its way through a narrow canyon along the Kanarra Falls Trail in Kanarraville, Utah, creating a peaceful but rugged scene surrounded by tall sandstone cliffs. The gentle flow of Spring Creek weaves between the fallen weathered boulders, inviting your eye deeper into this rugged slot canyon.
Warm shades of red and orange sandstone contrast beautifully with pockets of lush green vegetation and scattered pine trees growing high above the canyon floor. Fallen rocks scattered throughout the creek reveal the ever-changing nature of this remarkable landscape, where water and time continue to shape the canyon walls.
I captured this photograph to highlight the quiet beauty of one of Southern Utah's hidden treasures. The movement of the cool, spring-fed water brings a sense of tranquility to the scene while emphasizing the timeless relationship between flowing water, ancient stone, and the surrounding wilderness.
