I was out walking my dog this winter and came across this beautiful striped sunrise over the snow dotted mountains. I was captivated instantly by the view and knew i would need to paint it.
Jessica Day is an abstract landscape painter living in Denver, Colorado. Inspired by the mountains and vibrant skies, she deconstructs the natural world into shapes, colors and patterns. Jessica earned her B.F.A from Syracuse University and then went on to a career in Photo Editing working for Kiplinger's Personal Finance Magazine and AARP The Magazine. After 10 years in the magazine industry, Jessica returned to painting seeking a connection to the landscape around her and the physical act of art making.
