Layered photography of nature's marvelous engineering – the specimens pictured here are the multi chamber, starlike spiked fruit / seed pod of a Sweetgum tree floating otherworldly over a swath of hornets nest, which is basically and remarkably paper, or chewed wood fiber – a multi layer papier-mâché.
