A peaceful quiet morning standing on a bridge overlooking Spearfish Creek in Spearfish Canyon. Located in the Black Hills area of South Dakota near Lead, SD, I captured this as a long exposure showing the silky movement of the water as it flows creating little cascades over rocks. Evergreen trees surround the area as a soft blue sky above adds a great contrast. You can even see a peak of a rock cliff towering over the landscape. We were hiking from Spearfish Falls when I captured this. This creek flows for roughly 19 to 20 miles through the wooded canyon.
