Stretching through Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, Lake Powell is a favorite destination for outdoor enthusiasts from around the world. Its winding coves, rock formations, and water make it a popular location for boating, paddleboarding, fishing, and photography.

I captured this photo as the lake slowly came to life, enjoying the stillness before the area filled with activity. The gentle reflections and warm desert colors create a tranquil scene that reminds me why sunrise is one of my favorite times to capture the American Southwest.
