A rare snow storm at Jersey shore dumped over a foot of snow in February 2010. These kids were on the beach trying to ice skate in one of the inlets of the ocean. The juxtaposition of scale in the foreground compared to the giant roller coaster behind the kids make the photo.
James Campbell is a Washington DC-based artist who specializes in photography and graphic design. His current project is "DGBTR.com":http://dgbtr.com/, a website dedicated to polaroid instant photography from around Rockville, Maryland.
James' photographic style is post-minimalist reductional surrealism, which focuses on places and things rather than people. Where people are present in his photographs, they are part of a larger pattern, not the main subject. Or are they?
