Sirena verada

Sirena Verada

Piece description from the artist

My work is driven by the interconnectivity of color, composition, texture, and subject. Moments in daily life strike a chord of inspiration to create a narrative driven by abstraction and structure. I am inspired by the balance of these elements in their surroundings. The passage of images in a person’s daily life has become a wash of color. My work takes the impressions of these fleeting moments and gives them a stage to set a projected narrative used to live out a person’s fantasies. Working with each element, I weave the layers of subject and background together oftentimes being unable to distinguish between the two. Inspired by artists like RB Kitaj and Paul Cezanne, my work borders on the line between abstraction and impressionism.

About Kerin Lovett

Royal Palm Beach, FL

Kerin Lovett has studied art her entire life from classes as an eager five year old student to finishing her studies with her Bachelors in Fine Arts at the Boston Museum School and Tufts University. Studying in France and Israel has given her an understanding for the universality of humanity and an appreciation for the spice that cultures give to life. This vitality inspires her work and can be seen in her melding of techniques of shape, color, and texture. As a mother of two, she finds peace in the chaos of life, and her work does the same in seeking out the instant of peace for her subjects merging with their environments. Her work has been shown internationally and locally and can be customized upon commission for any client.
