It is one of the three Cistercian abbeys in Provence known as the "three sisters of Provence," France.

About Simon Kogan

Olympia, WA

Truth, soul, and unpretentious sophistication characterize the work of artist Simon Kogan.

Born in Russia, he received thirteen years of classical academic training in Moscow, including a M.F.A. as well as an apprenticeship under renowned sculptor "Isaac Brodsky":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isaak_Brodsky.

Since immigrating to the U.S. in 1991, he has steadily risen to national prominence as a sculptor, and more recently has branched out to photography. His work reflects a bold, yet poetic pursuit of the archetypal and renders an ethereal quality that resonates with the viewer.
