Piece description from the artist
At sunset, the Dolomites burn. Alpenglow, called "enrosadira" locally, light the steep rock faces orange and pink. Meanwhile, the hills below sing into shadow. The contrast is sharp — fire above, growing darkness below. The sun fades fast here but the mountains hold onto its glow for a moment longer.
Clouds were drifting through the sturdy peaks. They burred the edges and softened the fire, moving slowly but never stopping. The hills darkened, heavy with shadow, grounding the wild light above. This is a moment of both stillness and change, dark and light. A moment you can only experience at the edge of day.

Currently located in Washington, DC, Scott is a native Floridian photographer specializing in landscape photography. His work explores the interplay of light and dark — rejecting the notion that photography is just “painting with light.” He seeks what resides in the contrast — the liminal spaces of the world.
Scott has shot in some of the most beautiful locations in the world, including Iceland and locations throughout the Old World. But some of his most inspiring locations are right at home in America's enchanting National Parks.
