Scuba diver coming out of the water. What can I say? I love Jacques Cousteau and have been a supporting member of the Cousteau Foundation. I'm also a great fan of 'Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. It has Brazilian singer Seu Jorge covering David Bowie songs in Portuguese. Apparently Bowie listened to one cover he did and was so enthralled that he gave Seu Jorge the go ahead and do the entire soundtrack. I'm pretty sure that's what I was listening to when I created this piece.
Marcos Carvalho was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and currently works as a motion graphics designer and illustrator in Maryland. His interests include surfing, reading, hiking, and traveling. Marcos's work illustrative has appeared in the Yale Scientific Review, the State Department's EJ USA, and La Ostra. His artwork has been shown in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Spain, Germany, Canada, and the US.
