Scissors 2

Scissors

Piece description from the artist

This painting is about my fascination with simple everyday objects, specifically the shapes and moving parts of a pair of scissors. This particular pair of scissors are very old and were given as a gift by my mother when I was learning how to sew. They are so beat up and messed up they can not even be used any more. But they serve well as a subject to paint since everyone has used a pair of scissors and recognizes what they are immediately.
