Piece description from the artist

Scatter is named after particle scattering because it contains tracks and forms that resemble the elastic and inelastic collisions of particles. The actual collisions and scatter occur on scales much smaller than the wavelength of light, so there is no real color. We use color to represent extra dimensions of information all of the time so having a colorful scatter is not false.
