Piece description from the artist
You can see the hills in the foreground near Tilden Park, just outside Berkeley, California where I took this. Emeryville is in the foreground there (home of Pixar). The San Francisco skyline has now change with the tallest Salesforce Tower. However, Transamerica and BofA are still there to round it out. Karl the Fog has made its appearance in the early evening. Sutro Tower oversees the scape.
Danny Anderson has no formal training in photography, but he makes up for what he lacks in training with a unique perception of the world around him.
From the beginning, Danny's approach was simple; when he photographs a location, Danny attempts to capture not just what it looks like, but what it feels like to be there. In doing so, contrasts, composition, dynamics and drama have become an integral part of his process and consideration while making artwork. Danny is always searching for everyday beauty so he can allow the day-to-day imagery to distract and inspire him. Danny refers to this process as "natural distraction."
Danny currently lives and works in Brentwood, California.
