Piece description from the artist
While driving along Highway 50, also known as Highway 385 near Granada, Colorado, the golden sun was setting for the day and we stumbled upon this beautiful countryside scene. A set of railroad tracks are on the right, extending towards the sunset as an old abandoned shed and tree set on the right. Tall grass and weeds are backlit by the sunlight. Perfectly timed, the sun dipped low enough to cast some rays and a sun flare just over the horizon, illuminating the scene with a dramatic yet serene radiance. The moment felt frozen in time, a fleeting yet timeless snapshot of rural Americana.
