Rustic Charm Of Reeds Spring Mill

Piece description from the artist

This autumn scene captures the historic Reeds Spring Mill in Centerville, Missouri, USA, located within the Mark Twain National Forest. The rustic log cabin mill, rebuilt in 1973 after the original was relocated to the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., sits quietly along a gravel road in a rural setting. An old wooden water wheel, now covered with a few weeds, no longer turns as the aged trough allows water to spill off the side like a few waterfalls. Behind the mill, colorful fall foliage glows warmly in the sunlight, adding to the charm of this hidden Ozarks landmark.
