“Rugged Terrain” is a raw, textural homage to the power and permanence of the natural world. Earthy browns, slate blues, and weathered whites form layered bands that resemble stratified rock formations, echoing the geography of mountain ranges and ancient riverbeds. The composition feels like a landscape carved by time—wild, resilient, and deeply grounded. It invites the viewer to explore its surfaces as if tracing the paths of wind, water, and stone through centuries.
Denise is an artist from Arvada, Colorado. She draws her inspiration for painting from nature and likes to paint landscapes. Since she is surrounded by the beauty of the mountains of Colorado, there is a lot of inspiration to draw upon. She also recently has begun branching out to abstract painting with acrylic paints and experimenting with various filters in digital graphics applications.
