Piece description from the artist
Up to 30 thin layers of blended oil and wax are applied with a palette knife, spatula and brayer on a wood panel. Each layer is scratched, scraped and incised with carving tools and whisks for texture and interest. The grid-like pattern on the upper right quadrant was created using an avocado bag. This painting also works upside down or vertically!
