Rooted In Strength At Zion

Piece description from the artist

As we hiked toward the Zion Canyon Overlook, this incredible twisted tree root clinging to the cliff’s edge immediately caught my eye. Likely a juniper or cedar, it looks as though the tree once broke at the base and leaned over—yet its roots adapted, reshaped, and kept it alive. Some of its branches even transformed into new roots. It’s a reminder that deep roots matter: where you come from, and the roots you plant in the lives of your children, family, and friends.

Behind it, Zion National Park’s towering red rock mountains glow a warm orange in the evening light. The narrow pathway winds around the mountainside, with a couple enjoying a peaceful walk along the trail. This powerful scene blends nature’s resilience with the stunning beauty of Zion, Utah, USA.
