Taken right on the Chicago river, this area of Chicago is special to all natives, and even to you admirers. You've seen this same view in Transformers, and Dark Knight. I myself spent the Millennium New Year atop one of these towers, drinking, and celebrating the fact that we didn't see any planes crashing.
Matthew Gauger was born in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Growing up, Mathew spent his time between living in the city and the suburbs, which gave him a unique double-sided perspective to both ways of life, from the rough and gritty sides of urban living, to the clean and orderly ways of suburban living. It gave him perspective on the big picture of life, that no one life is different from any other, just the way we decorate them. His work strives to capture moments in time which are true to our time, and are in turn, timeless.
