Piece description from the artist
Round Rock at Joshua Tree
Rob Karleskint has considered himself an artist since he was very young. He gathered most of his artistic inspiration from his late grandfather, "Guido Signorelli":http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=41451581, as well as his late college photography teacher, "Mark Kaufman":http://www.nytimes.com/1994/08/11/obituaries/mark-kauffman-photographer-71.html.
Today, Rob feels blessed to work as a counselor for at-risk youth, where part of his job is to capture some of the amazing moments of their journey through the lens of a camera where all proceeds from the sale of that work is given back to the youth. Most of the work on display here has been created in his spare time between counseling sessions. Whether he sells a print or simply encourages someone to stop and enjoy his work, Rob feels grateful to have the opportunity and the ability to capture that special moment in time.
Rob currently lives and works in Los Angeles, California.
