Rocky kiss

Rocky Kiss

Piece description from the artist

This work was created in partnership with Start of the Split, also available on TurningArt. After I finished these two works, I saw in the imagery the beginnings of the end of a relationship with Start of the Split. And Rocky Kiss seemed to represent the precursor to this "split" with the lack of physical feelings that can develop when a relationship has gone "cold".

The fun thing about these works is that they can be shown together or separately, your choice! The color palette is a bit unique in that it has ochre overtones, with a muted green and dash of orange-red streaking through the center. I have used charcoal to make marks to accent the imagery. The original work is framed in a soft wooden brown which is neutral enough to work in any space. Fun to try in your space!
