Riverside Birches II

Piece description from the artist

I discovered these stark white birch trees on a fall day by the side of the river. The contrast between the colorful foliage and the white birches was inspiring. I decided to add texture by collaging the tree trunks over my warm underpainting. There were many areas to let the oranges and yellows show through in the final work.
