This simple shot of a tree branch nearly transforms and looks almost haunting as a negative. I think this view lets the intricacies of the network of branches stand out even more, almost like veins or tributaries along a river.
Kimberly Barnes is a multimedia artist working primarily in sound, animation, photography, and video. She's drawn to quiet, pensive moments in nature and city environments.
Kimberly currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, where she attends the Pratt Institute for the graduate dual degree program in Library Information Science and History of Art & Design. She also received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University and her BFA from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
