A small shoot of a tree withstands the flow of raging water flowing over rocks and waterfall of Valley Falls State Park on Tygart River near Fairmont, West Virginia. Intriguing telephoto image of a small nature scene in a much larger landscape gives it an almost abstract feel.
Steve Heap has been a photographer for over 50 years now (which is frightening to think about!) but in that time he has developed an eye for what would make a striking piece of wall art. Photography is all about the light and his finest attribute is patience! Waiting for the conditions to be just right is the key to making a piece of art that you can be proud of. Of course, luck plays a part, but without that patience of being in the right place at the right time, it just becomes a snapshot.
