Piece description from the artist
In the Salt Wash View Area west of Green River, Utah, United States, along Highway 70, a striking juniper tree stands resiliently against the elements. Its bare branches stretch skyward, a testament to its survival in the harsh, arid landscape. The rocky terrain beneath it is a mix of tan stone and patches of sand and dirt, with the tree's roots weaving intricately over the uneven surface, clinging to life with minimal sustenance. It is springtime, and the greenery has yet to emerge, leaving the scene stark yet captivating. In the distance, the expansive view reveals the rugged beauty of the San Rafael Swell, with clouds rolling lazily over the distant mountains, adding a sense of movement and drama to the serene and rugged landscape.
