A large black common raven rests on a stone post at the Agua Canyon overlook in Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, United States. I captured this vertical photograph as I enjoyed watching this very intelligent bird. They are incredibly charismatic and are famous among park visitors for hanging out near overlooks, and pathways. The way the light is hitting their feathers it gives a purple hint to the dark black plumage. It's black beak is large, heavy, and slightly curved. A pine tree and a peak of the orange limestone rocks make a great backdrop.
