A rainy day in central London. Big Ben, a red double-decker, and the classic phone booth. The wet pavement mirrors the colours of the sky, and soft brushstrokes give the scene a sense of motion. It’s London as it often is: grey and vivid at the same time, and full of character. Oil, canvas. Signed. Varnished.
Painting has been my passion since childhood. Among many different techniques oil painting is my favorite.
Themes of my paintings are as variegated as our world: cities, people, life, animals, dramatic art, nature. I am greatly influenced by such famous artists like Claude Monet, Vincent van Gogh, Isaac Levitan, Auguste Renoir. My work was strongly influenced by Picasso. The painting Girl on the Ball made a big impression on me in my childhood.
