I had looked at this composition for days before deciding to paint it. Each time I looked out at the pool from this vantage, I was impressed by the relaxing horizontal planes. This time of day was always quiet and serene.
Before the pumps start pushing
And the gardeners mow
There's a still in the morning
Before the gathering show.
Raised in Zimbabwe and transplanted to the United States as a teenager, Roger has learned to straddle different worlds and cultures. His unique artistic style reflects his diverse background and myriad cultural influences.
