Puddle Jumper celebrates the joy of flight even in difficult moments. A barn swallow soars freely through a rain shower above a lush meadow, unbothered by the storm, and a reminder that even on hard days, we can still find our wings. The piece was inspired by the idea that a rainy day doesn't have to ground us; sometimes the rain is just part of the adventure.
Amanda Reed creates layered landscapes under the name Birdsong, working in digital illustration, gouache, linocut, and mixed media collage. Her work explores imagined places where modernist architecture and botanical abundance coexist in optimistic harmony. Reed's graphic sensibility produces pattern-rich compositions that find order in wild things and wildness in geometric forms. Based in Denver, Colorado, she has maintained a consistent studio practice since 2006, evolving from textile work into printmaking and illustration.
