Piece description from the artist
There is a private estate outside of Knoxville with an elaborate hedge maze that leads to a meditation sanctuary adorned with Indian doors featuring bas-relief carvings depicting scenes from the Kama Sutra. More than just a sexual manual, the Kama Sutra encompasses the art of living a fulfilled life, intertwining spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of existence. By photographing these carvings through a prism, the refracted light revealed brilliant colors, reflecting the vibrant energy and passionate pursuit of life that the sanctuary’s owner found resonant with the teachings of Hinduism.
