Porter to Alewife

Piece description from the artist

There has been a railway station at Porter Square since the 1840's. The new station, opened in 1984, serves both Boston's Red Line and the commuter rail system. Over 100' below the surface, it is the deepest terminal in the system. I thought of the work of Piranesi as I painted it.
