Melissa Kulig is a Waltham, Massachusetts-based artist, located just west of Boston. She and her loft are part of the "Waltham Mills Artist Association":http://www.wmaastudios.org, which began in the 1970’s. Her drawings have been juried into many galleries, including the "Limner Gallery":http://www.slowart.com/limner in Hudson, New York, the "Bromfield Gallery":http://www.bromfieldgallery.com/ in Boston, the "Agni Gallery":http://events.nydailynews.com/new_york_ny/venues/show/23825-agni-gallery in New York, and a solo exhibition at "The Artist Foundation Gallery":http://www.notfortourists.com/LD.aspx/Boston/Art-Galleries/Artists-Foundation in South Boston.
In 2009, Melissa received her M.F.A. drawing from The Art Institute of Boston, a school of Lesley University. After working under "Anthony Apesos":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Apesos and "Debra Todd-Wheeler":http://www.ellenmillergallery.com/2011/06/deb-todd-wheeler-museum-shows-artist-fellowship, she received an honorary scholarship from the faculty and students at her graduation. She is a member of the "Feminist Art Project":http://feministartproject.rutgers.edu/home/ and continues to teach art to children and adults, as she has done for the past ten years.
