I love how birds sit above us, perfectly content and relaxed. I began a series to show how people would look sitting in the same places where birds liked to perch. This painting was the first of that series.
"It's all about the story, temperature, line seduction, the illusion of stability vs frailty, and the necessary quality of color that sings together when placed together."
Jodi Chamberlain grew up outside of San Diego and Oregon. She attended the University of Oregon, Majoring in printmaking and later moved to NY. She continues to draw, paint, and animate. Currently she is attending the School of Visual Arts in the Computer Animation 3d Department.
