Peonies 12

Peonies

Piece description from the artist

In Michigan there's micro seasons: daffodil season, tulip season, lilac season, peony season. Peony season happens to be my favorite, where the deep greens come forth from the backdrop and everything has come alive. Heat envelops you and the peonies pop open, a display of grandeur. This particular set of peony bushes are several decades old, older than me, residing at the front of my mom's yard, just next to the dancing willow tree. This particular image was taken on digital, but holds true to my signature film aesthetic.
