An expansive summer afternoon black and white view of downtown Kansas City, Missouri, I captured from the area around The Scout Statue in Penn Valley Park. The city skyline of skyscrapers reveals the downtoan area as a Ferris wheel, a peaceful pond, Interstate 35, and other elements of the cityscape are visible throughout the scene.
A few fluffy clouds drift across the blue summer sky, adding depth to this photograph. The combination of the urban skyline, parkland, and open sky captures a beautiful glimpse of the city on a warm summer afternoon.
