Piece description from the artist
A stunning wide view in black and white of snow-capped mountains near Hogan Pass Overlook along Utah State Route 72 near Loa. In the foreground, native vegetation frames the scene naturally, adding texture and depth as the rolling hills lead the eye toward the distant mountain peaks.
Visible across the landscape are Geyser Peak and Hens Hole Peak, with a distant glimpse of Capitol Reef National Park appearing far off to the left of the mountains. Layers of valley, forest, desert terrain, and towering mountains come together in one breathtaking scene within the Fishlake National Forest region.
A barbed wire fence stretches through the valley below while dramatic clouds drift overhead, completing the majestic landscape. Standing at nearly 8,975 feet in elevation, the cool mountain air and sweeping views made this Utah overlook feel truly unforgettable. The mountains are over 10,800 feet in elevation.
