The original piece was painted on a canvas pad, there is something about working on a loose piece of material that seems to encourage a quicker resolution to the piece
The original piece included fluorescent colors, but during the scanning process these are lost and appear as white
Though I still like the piece even with the white sections
The brushwork and composition remind me of a peacock, which seems like such a glamorous bird
Mike Lenkowski is a visual artist living and working in Chicago. He has worked in various media such as reverse acrylic on plexiglass, acrylic on canvas, Plastic Prismatic Boxes, and 3D Assemblages. Mike graduated in 2007 from Avondale College with a Degree in Fine Art. His work can be found in private collections in the US and abroad, as well as in Art*o*mat machines nationwide.
