Impasto oil painted peach florals burst from their vase and spill forward. Texture and painterly brushstrokes capture the movement of a full bouquet of flowers.
April is heavily influenced by the classical impressionists but strives to bring about elements of expressionism as well into her paintings. She uses color fearlessly and is always striving to "capture the light". April wants her paintings to invoke the feelings of her subjects and especially the wild feelings of being out of doors surrounded by the beauty of nature.
