From the day in the summer where the avenue is closed to cars and everyone walks and bikes down the middle of the road. I sat in the filthy, filthy Grand Central Viaduct tunnel to capture this unique view that would normally be inaccessible.

Eleanor Doughty is from Virginia, now living and working in Seattle. She has worked as a full-time freelance artist since 2017 for clients including Marriott, Hilton, Penguin Books, VICE, the Boston Globe, and Microsoft; additionally, she has had the privilege of painting several location-themed murals for communities across the U.S. Her passion is sketching on location outdoors, capturing everyday beauty – from typical scenes on her block, to the architecture of Hong Kong and the countryside of Portugal.
