This is a the original portrait that “Parhelic Sunset Waves” is based on – I was fortunate to photograph the optical phenomenon “parhelion” at sunset, nature’s hologram, that is the diffraction of light by ice crystals in the atmosphere, which in this case causes the appearance of 3 suns.
