The soothing rhythm of rolling waves and the endless view of open water create a sense of calm for the heart and soul. Soft drifting clouds tinted with blue, purple, and pink linger in the sky, reflecting the final hues of the colorful morning sunrise. I captured this peaceful coastal scene along the shoreline of Panama City Beach.
In the faint distance, the M.B. Miller County Pier stands alongside a row of beachfront hotels and condos. Along the water’s edge, a few sanderling birds scurry across the sand in search of breakfast. As the waves wash ashore, they leave behind delicate white foam that adds texture to the smooth, reflective wet sand, an idyllic way to begin the day along the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s Emerald Coast.
